Rikesh Gandhi, MD

A native of Long Island, New York, Dr. Gandhi graduated with honors from Boston College and completed medical school at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Gandhi moved to Philadelphia to pursue his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, during which he was awarded grants from the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand to study novel methods of measuring hand motion. He then completed an additional year of fellowship training in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Harvard Medical School at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical in Boston, where he gained expertise in the latest hand trauma, microsurgery and arthroscopic techniques.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gandhi has published numerous manuscripts and book chapters and has presented his research at national meetings, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Gandhi is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Gandhi treats a multitude of hand and upper extremity conditions including overuse injuries, nerve problems, tendon injuries, arthritis, sports and work-related injuries, and fractures. He has additional expertise in endoscopic carpal tunnel release and wrist arthroscopy.
